The day was shaped by little more than a ceremony time. Everything else unfolded on its own. The couple got ready in separate rooms of the groom's family castle before walking together to the chapel with their two children. Afterwards, everyone wandered back through the grounds, where food, wine, and puppet shows for the children carried the afternoon into evening before a long candlelit dinner. No shot list, no expectations. The photographs found their place as the day unfolded. Alongside the quieter moments, there was still time for the classic family portraits that would outlive the celebration. One of my favorites was made from high in the castle, looking down from a window as everyone gathered below.
